The kitchen as a space for socializing and permanence, once a space dedicated only to the preparation of meals, and contrary to its own designation, has become for many a space for experimentation and hustle. Our intervention focused on the furniture design and consolidation of the materiality of an already defined volumetrical space. The exercise, despite its scale, was based on exploring the experience of the inhabitant who uses and wanders around, remaining in the space and time of each area. The kitchen thus reflects the path of food, from storage, through preparation and confection, to the moment when it is served as a meal. These tasks are carried out by those in charge of the process but also by those who accompany and passively participate in this moment. |
